Frequently Asked Questions
How long does this take?
If your old distributor takes down releases quickly, about 10 business days. If they don't, it could take up to 30 days.
What happens to my stats?
Your stats and play counts (along with playlist placements) will remain the same. Except for YouTube, they unfortunately reset stats.
What happens to my followers/artist pages?
Your artist page and followers will remain the same.
Basically, everything stays the same and your fans will never know the transfer is happening! 🎉
How to transfer
❓What's a Spotify album link? It looks like https://open.spotify.com/album/6eUW0wxWtzkFdaEFsTJto6 and contains all of the metadata we need to collect. We can't take links that look like https://open.spotify.com/song/xxxxxx.
Alternatively, you can send an artist link (https://open.spotify.com/artist/xxxx) and we can move that artists' entire catalog!
- Notify our team: Let us know you'd like to move distributors, and send your Spotify album links to us. Also, let us know if any releases contain Apple Digital Masters or Dolby Atmos content.
- Release import: We'll import your releases into our system. This will take around 12-24 hours.
- Upload the files: We'll provide a folder where you can batch upload your audio and artwork files. An additional 1-2 business days will be needed to process your files.
- Deliver new releases: We'll deliver your releases to Spotify, Apple Music, and more. This will take around 3-4 business days.
- Track Linking: DSPs will need about 5 days to link your stream counts, playlist placements, and followers to your new releases.
- Takedown from old distributor: Once you're notified by our team, you can take down your releases from your old distributor.
